The Pharmacy & Wellness Kiosk is a secure, closed-cabin healthcare retail unit built for hospital lobbies, metro concourses, and corporate campuses — designed for pharmacy chains, hospital retail operators, and wellness brands extending OTC and supplement ranges to captive locations.

Pharmacy is the most regulation-shaped kiosk category, and this design treats compliance as the architecture: a lockable closed-cabin format with a controlled dispensing counter, segregated scheduled-medicine storage, a refrigerated bay for cold-chain products, and a semi-private consultation point at the counter's end. Around that compliant core sits a clean clinical-retail presentation — white and green palette, organized OTC display walls, clear category signage — that reads as trustworthy at ten meters. Manufactured end-to-end at our Mumbai facility in 18–22 working days.

Zoning

  • Dispensing counter: Controlled service counter with the pharmacist position behind it — prescription handling stays inside the cabin, per regulatory design logic
  • OTC display walls: Organized open-display shelving for wellness, personal care, and OTC ranges on the customer-accessible face
  • Secure storage: Lockable scheduled-medicine cabinets and a refrigerated cold-chain bay, both inside the controlled zone
  • Consultation point: Semi-private counter end with acoustic screening for dosage and health conversations

Trust logic

Healthcare retail converts on perceived legitimacy. The clinical palette, organized display discipline, visible pharmacist station, and clean lighting are designed to read as an extension of the hospital — not a shop that happens to sell medicine.

Build specification

  • Structure: Powder-coated MS frame in a closed-cabin format with lockable staff entry
  • Cladding: Clinical white premium HPL with green accent bands and glass display frontage
  • Counters: Solid-surface dispensing counter — sanitizable, chemical-resistant, seamless
  • Display: Adjustable shelving walls with category signage rails and glass-front OTC cases
  • Secure units: Lockable scheduled-medicine cabinets; refrigerator bay with temperature-display window
  • Closure: Full-perimeter shutters for closed hours with lockable access panels
  • Lighting: Bright clinical-white even wash — legibility of packaging is a safety feature, not just merchandising
  • Regulatory design: Layout follows pharmacy licensing norms — controlled dispensing zone, segregated scheduled-drug storage, and refrigeration — with the drawing set supporting the operator's drug-license application; the license itself is operator-specific
  • Electrical: 2–4 kW single-phase with a dedicated, independently protected circuit for cold-chain refrigeration
  • Cold chain: Refrigerated bay with condenser ventilation and temperature-monitoring provision
  • Hospital & metro compliance: Material, fire, and infection-control norms per site requirements; drawing submissions handled by us
  • Fire: Fire-retardant laminates and compliant wiring throughout
  • Format variants: Full pharmacy cabin, OTC-and-wellness-only open format, or hybrid with vending integration for after-hours essentials
  • Service add-ons: BP/glucose self-check station, teleconsultation booth module with screen and privacy panel
  • Display systems: Open shelving, glass-front cases, or behind-counter wall units per license category
  • Brand system: Chain-pharmacy colorways with illuminated cross signage and fascia branding
  • Size variants: 8×6 ft compact through 12×10 ft full-service unit

Why this works

Demand is captive and non-discretionary. Hospital lobbies and transit hubs concentrate people who need medicines now — pharmacy is one of the few kiosk categories where the location manufactures urgent, price-insensitive demand.

Wellness widens the basket. Supplements, personal care, and preventive-health products ride the same counter with retail margins — the prescription brings the customer, the wellness wall builds the ticket.

Chains grow by micro-locations. India's pharmacy chains are expanding through small-format captive-location units, not just high-street stores. A compliant, replicable kiosk is that expansion's physical unit.

Compliance-ready builds win the site. Hospitals and metros award retail space to operators who clear technical review fastest — a documented, regulation-shaped build is a leasing advantage, not just a legal necessity.

Frequently asked questions

What does a pharmacy kiosk cost in India?
The Pharmacy & Wellness Kiosk sits in the ₹6–12 lakh band depending on size, secure-storage configuration, and cold-chain provisions.

Does the kiosk meet drug-license requirements?
The build follows pharmacy licensing design norms — controlled dispensing, segregated scheduled storage, refrigeration — and our documentation supports your application. The license itself is issued to the operator by the authorities.

Is cold-chain storage included?
A refrigerated bay with dedicated power and ventilation is built in; the refrigeration unit can be in our scope or client-supplied.

Can it operate in a hospital lobby?
Yes — that is a core deployment; materials and detailing follow hospital infection-control and fire norms, and we handle the drawing submission.

How long does it take?
18–22 working days of manufacturing, then one to two overnight installations.

Can a pharmacy chain replicate it?
Yes — locked specification, repeat manufacturing, identical compliant units across locations.
